Appel à participation à un projet transversal
Jean-Pierre Van Staevel (équipe Islam médiéval) et Laïla Nehmé (équipe Mondes sémitiques) proposent, pour le quinquennal 2019-2023, un projet de recherche transversal intitulé «Tribus et espaces tribaux dans les mondes antiques et médiévaux ». Il vise à explorer de différentes manières le rapport qu’entretiennent les tribus avec les espaces dans lesquels elles s’insèrent, dans des contextes et à des époques différents. Toute proposition de contribution est la bienvenue, dans tous les domaines couverts par les équipes.

Center for Hellenic Studies, from Podgorica (Montenegro) is happy to announce the international conference on the topic « Hellenic Political Philosophy and Contemporary Europe ». The Conference is of an interdisciplinary character, and aims at addressing different social and political issues from perspectives of history, philosophy, economics, theology, history of ideas, anthropology, political theory and other disciplines. Such conception of the scholarly exchange does not fulfill only the purpose of an historical investigation, but will provide a systematic treatment of the topic, thus clarifying existing ideas and advancing new ones. We welcome papers on topics like:
* The concept of the polis in antiquity and modernity
* Freedom and democracy
* Politics and economy
* Democracy, liberalism, totalitarianism
* The philosophy of the polis: Citizen, polis and cultural ideals
* Autonomy and responsibility in politics

Dans le cadre du colloque se tiendront des ateliers pour les doctorants : « Les ateliers sont ouverts en priorité aux doctorants qui préparent une thèse sur une œuvre de Grégoire de Nysse ou un thème dans son œuvre, sans se restreindre au thème du colloque. Des étudiants qui travailleraient sur des thèmes voisins de celui du colloque, chez d’autres auteurs du 4e siècle, peuvent également proposer leur candidature (commentaires de la prière dominicale, théologie et anthropologie de la prière, pardon, ou encore questions d’édition et de traduction d’œuvres). »
